Systematic Market Making / CRB Quant Trader (Rates: Bonds & Swaps) — Multi-Strategy Platform Location: London | Onsite The Mandate This mandate is to build and scale systematic market-making and central risk book (CRB) capabilities across Rates, with a core focus on government bonds and interest rate swaps. The seat sits directly on the trading front line, owning intraday pricing, inventory, and risk decisions within a highly automated framework. You will operate at the intersection of quantitative modelling, execution, and live risk management — designing systematic approaches to liquidity provision, relative value, and flow-driven opportunities across bonds and swaps markets. Why This Seat Direct PnL Ownership: Run systematic market-making strategies with real-time risk and inventory responsibility building from scratch a new CRB framework. Market Relevance: Work in core rates products where flow, microstructure, and curve dynamics directly drive opportunity. What You’ll Do
Run Systematic Market Making: Design and operate automated or semi-automated market-making strategies across bonds and swaps. Manage Central Risk Book: Control intraday inventory, skew, and hedging within defined risk limits. Build Pricing & Quoting Models: Develop curve-relative pricing, spread models, and flow-sensitive quoting logic. Optimize Execution: Refine execution logic with a strong focus on liquidity, slippage, and transaction cost modelling. Scale Production Systems: Partner with quant developers and engineers to harden strategies for live deployment and scale.
What You Bring Experience:
3–10+ years in systematic or semi-systematic rates trading, market making, or CRB-style roles. Direct exposure to bonds and/or swaps trading environments.
Domain Expertise:
Deep understanding of rates microstructure, yield curves, spreads, and flow dynamics. Strong intuition for inventory management and intraday risk.
Technical Stack:
Strong Python required. Experience with C++, Java, or low‑latency trading systems is a plus.
Operating Style:
Comfortable owning live risk and PnL. Calm under pressure, highly disciplined, and execution-focused. Able to bridge quantitative research and real‑time trading decisions.
Compensation & Preferences
Compensation: GBP180‑250k + performance‑based bonus; structure aligned with PnL ownership. (This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; a final offer may vary based on experience, domain expertise, and market conditions.)
