Systems Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to support our automotive customer based in Warwickshire. This is a high-impact contract role, ideal for an engineer who thrives in complex problem-solving environments and cross-functional delivery.
Key Responsibilities:-
Lead the design and integration of electronic and mechanical components throughout the development of electro-mechanical systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, analyse feasibility, and create robust technical solutions that meet customer needs.
Conduct detailed system analysis, managing trade-offs and driving consistent use of systems engineering tools and processes across multiple platforms.
Manage large projects or processes with limited oversight, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Create and compile system requirements, including authoring new requirements and populating programme documentation.
Design, build, and test machine learning features for incorporation into driver modes and attribute features.
Lead the creation and definition of new attribute-related features, supporting early concept development through to final delivery.
Develop Simulink models, functional requirements documentation, and test cases.
Set and negotiate feature and component targets, cascading requirements to module groups and balancing attributes as needed.
Define comprehensive test plans for UK and global climatic testing (hot/cold), ensuring adherence to budget and programme targets.
Manage a multi-functional team to execute the test plan effectively.
Provide clear reporting on project status at milestones, representing the team at gateway and technical review events.
Engage with other engineering functions to ensure target delivery, supporting key programme meetings (VIT, PST, Must Resolves, Technical Issues, L1 reviews).
Conduct detailed benchmarking exercises, including competitor analysis, data gathering, and physical vehicle assessments .
Skills Required:-
Experience with software integration, calibration and delivery.
Experience of feature delivery & demand process.
Machine learning and experience of using motion detection, prediction and scanning.
Experience and knowledge of ADAS system design and integration.
Highly self-motivated engineer with proven inter-personal communication/networking skills.
Proven project and time management skills and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision.
Demonstrable people-management, team working, organisational and budget management skills.
Demonstrating a robust scientific approach with knowledge of design of experiments.
Good working knowledge of vehicle engineering, test & development, and experience of whole vehicle evaluation.
Confident presentation & report-writing skills; competent use of MS Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
A flexible approach to work beyond normal hours as required. Reasonable flexibility to support overseas testing.
