Dorset Studio School, located in the heart of the Dorset countryside, is a land-based secondary school offering a unique, hands-on education. We are seeking a full or part-time, well-qualified, enthusiastic, and motivated teacher to join our team to teach Geography, History, and Humanities (KS3 & KS4). The successful candidate will be committed to inspiring students, delivering engaging lessons and supporting strong academic progress.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a forward-thinking 11–16 school. Students work towards GCSE and vocational qualifications within a curriculum that combines academic achievement with employability skills and meaningful work experience.


We are looking for a proactive and energetic teacher who can bring innovative ideas to the classroom and contribute positively to our supportive and collaborative staff team. Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum development
  • Strong skills in Education, with an understanding of key stage 3 and 4 standards
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate with staff
  • Experience in Teaching and facilitating engaging, inclusive classroom environments
  • Training skills, including the ability to support and guide students effectively
  • A relevant teaching qualification and subject specialisation in Geography or Humanities
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inspiring educational experience for students
  • Experience working in a school or education setting, preferably with a land-based or environmental focus, is an advantage
