Teaching Assistant

Full-time / Part-time | Starting ASAP Class Mate is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of ASD and ADHD to join a welcoming primary school in the NG5 area to starting as soon as possible . This role is ideal for a patient, dedicated TA with experience supporting pupils with additional needs , either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups . The role: Providing targeted 1:1 and small group SEN support
Supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs
Assisting with emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The ideal candidate will: Have experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, etc.)
Be calm, patient, and consistent
Understand the importance of routine and clear boundaries
Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable)
Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
