Your focus is helping children settle, communicate, and make progress in the early building blocks, language, early literacy, early number, and learning behaviours. You will run short, structured sessions with clear routines, recap, model, practise, quick check, then help children apply the skill back in provision. You will support early maths through counting, number recognition, subitising, and simple comparison using practical resources and clear talk. EYFS expectations sit within the statutory framework, covering learning, assessment, and safeguarding and welfare requirements. For SEN support, you will follow agreed strategies and plans, keep routines predictable, and use practical adjustments such as visual prompts, chunked instructions, calm check-ins, and structured transitions. You will keep brief, factual notes on engagement and progress and share updates with the teacher and SENCO so next steps stay clear and support stays joined-up.The Candidate: You bring warmth, patience, and consistency.
