SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Mitcham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have additional needs, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally within a nurturing school environment.

The Role:
* Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)
* Assisting the class teacher with adapting learning materials and activities
* Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development
* Helping to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or relevant setting)
* Patient, empathetic and nurturing approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Proactive, reliable and committed to supporting individual needs
