Do you have a passion for quality, coordination and delivering impactful services for Carers? Were looking for a motivated Team Leader to guide and support a locality at the Westmorland & Furness Carers Hub. In this role, youll ensure smooth workflows, strong performance, and high-quality support for Carers across the area. To lead and manage a locality team, overseeing daily workflow and ensuring delivery against service KPIs. Youll make sure the team follows agreed policies, procedures and systems while creating a supportive, positive and high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Support Provide day-to-day line management, supervision and support to Assessment & Support Officers. Manage the daily flow of work, ensuring locality KPIs are met consistently. Lead on recruitment and induction of staff, students and volunteers where needed. Support HR processes including recruitment, supervision, appraisal, discipline and grievance. Promote effective use of volunteers and students within the team.
Quality, Compliance & Performance Ensure operational ways of working comply with internal and external policies, procedures and systems. Carry out audits to maintain and improve quality and consistency. Ensure effective, accurate use of Case Management Systems and Local Authority systems. Gather and analyse performance, quality and outcomes data to support service-wide reporting. Escalate issues promptly to the Service Manager and support planned improvements and service changes.
Safeguarding & Complaints Act as the teams first point of contact for safeguarding concernsensuring all policies are followed and concerns are escalated appropriately. Act as the first point of contact for complaint management and escalate to the Service Manager where required.
Service Coverage & Coordination Provide out-of-hours on-call support as part of a rota. Provide contingency cover and cross-service support across the Lancashire Carers Service as needed.
