The Day to Day Lead the daily management of a team delivering analytical testing or laboratory support.
Set and review individual and team objectives in line with company strategy.
Maintain team morale, motivation, and effective communication.
Ensure all staff are trained, competent and working to required standards.
Maintain productivity while protecting analytical integrity.
Plan, organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
Manage resources, consumables, and overtime within budget.
Lead recruitment, selection and induction of new staff.
Ensure compliance with all HSE, HR, Quality, Regulatory and Accreditation requirements.
Promote problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
Keep up to date with relevant methods (
Support completion of regulatory competencies and maintain personal CPD.
The Essentials Strong leadership and role-modelling skills.
Ability to manage and improve team performance.
Excellent communication and coaching skills.
Highly organised with the ability to deliver results through others.
Good teamwork, selection and interviewing skills.
Ability to evaluate scientific data and make informed decisions.
Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems.
HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Significant laboratory experience.
Ideally some managerial or supervisory experience.
