Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Hatfield, AL10
Salary: £14 - £15 per hour (Depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Important: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and a full clean driving licence

About the Role:
We are recruiting an experienced Team Leader to work in a Residential Children’s Home. You will support management in the day-to-day running of the home, provide care and guidance to young people, and supervise and mentor residential care staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support shifts, rota planning, and daily operations of the home.
Supervise and mentor care staff, providing guidance and feedback.
Build positive relationships with young people, acting as a role model and supporting their physical, emotional, and educational needs.
Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and other relevant paperwork are completed and up to date.
Deputise for management when required, including out-of-hours on-call duties.
Act as a key worker for young people, supporting them 1:1, encouraging independence, and promoting community involvement.
Attend and contribute to meetings, reviews, and professional discussions.
Uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety standards.Essential Requirements:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent NVQ/Diploma)
Full clean driving licence
Experience working in residential care and with children and young people
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional boundaries
Awareness of safeguarding issues and child welfare practices
Emotional resilience when working with challenging behaviour
Basic household and cooking skillsDesirable:

Experience in juvenile justice settings
Knowledge of OFSTED standards and childcare legislation
