We're recruiting on behalf of a prominent UK-based engineering and infrastructure organisation, currently seeking a Technical Accounting and Governance Manager to strengthen its finance function. With a strong commitment to financial integrity and operational excellence, the business offers the chance to take ownership of technical accounting processes and internal control frameworks that directly support high-profile national projects. This hybrid opportunity is based at either the Bristol or Plymouth office, with a working pattern of two days per week on-site. The salary for this role is £65,000-£70,000, plus a bonus of up to 10%. Key Responsibilities: In this influential finance role, you will act as a lead adviser on technical accounting and play a pivotal role in strengthening governance and financial control across the organisation. You will: Be the primary coordinator for both external and internal audit processes within the finance team. Draft and review technical accounting position papers in collaboration with the Financial Controller. Prepare key governance documents, including half-year/year-end control summaries and letters of representation. Ensure contract governance and adherence to internal compliance standards for commercial agreements. Collaborate with the FP&A team to provide technical insight and strategic finance support.
