Technical Officer needed in Sittingbourne Paying £15 per hr ref OR7431 Full time hours on a temporarybasis About the Role We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Technical Officer to support the delivery of housing adaptations and grant-funded improvements. This role plays a key part in helping individuals live safely and independently in their homes by ensuring that property adaptations are appropriate, cost-effective, and completed to a high standard.
---------------------------------------- Key Responsibilities Conduct property surveys and joint visits with Occupational Health professionals to assess needs for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) and other housing assistance. Prepare detailed, accurately measured schedules of work and small-scale technical drawings to support competitive contractor quotations. Assess eligible expenses using approved Schedules of Rates and contractor estimates. Monitor works on-site, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications during and after completion. Quantify completed and additional works, recommending variations within grant limits and escalating where necessary.
