This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Eqvilent. We are currently looking for a Technical Product Owner - Internal Financial Systems in Anywhere.
In this high-impact role, you will lead the design and development of a secure and scalable financial data processing system that supports mission-critical reporting, audit, and reconciliation functions. Working closely with finance and engineering teams, you will take ownership of system architecture and data integration across diverse sources and formats. This is an opportunity to work at the core of operational decision-making and compliance, driving automation and innovation in a remote-first, fast-moving environment.
Accountabilities:
- Architect and deliver a robust financial data processing system that meets scalability, compliance, and reporting needs
- Build and launch an MVP using Python, ensuring data integration from multiple internal and external platforms
- Develop automation for ETL pipelines and standardize diverse transactional data formats across global sources
- Monitor and optimize system performance, while setting up disaster recovery protocols and failover mechanisms
- Partner closely with the finance team to design features that support audit, reporting, and reconciliation workflows
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, maintain thorough documentation, and stay current on industry standards
- Continuously improve the system's architecture, scalability, and data integrity through best practices and innovation
- 7-10+ years of experience in data engineering, system architecture, or financial systems development
- Proven expertise in Python and automation for ETL processes; strong understanding of SQL and data modeling
- Experience with large-scale financial systems and transactional data reconciliation
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS infrastructure, DevOps practices, and continuous integration tools
- Familiarity with APIs, file transfer systems, messaging queues, and financial data interfaces
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; capable of identifying system risks and performance bottlenecks
- Ability to work cross-functionally and translate financial requirements into technical solutions
- Solid communication skills, team leadership experience, and a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Background in financial services or trading systems is highly desirable
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, etc.)
