The Job:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a cook to join them on a 3-month temporary contract. This role will be working as a cook.
Key responsibilities will include:
Prepare and cook meals for residents following set menus
Meet dietary needs, allergies, and special requirements
Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and well organised
Always follow food hygiene and health & safety standards
Order, store, and check food supplies
Work with care staff to ensure residents enjoy their meals
Take feedback and make improvements where possible
Complete basic kitchen records and checks
Support special meals, events, and celebrations
The Person:
For this role, our client is looking for someone who has
previous cooking experience within the residential sector ideally
.
A good eye for detail and accuracy.
Confident communicator with a collaborative mindset.
Previous experience in a cooking or chef role, ideally in a residential environment.
Friendly, caring, and respectful towards residents
Reliable, organised, and able to manage their time well
Calm under pressure and able to work to routines
Takes pride in cooking and preparing good-quality meals
Understands the importance of food hygiene and safety
Willing to follow set menus and dietary requirements
A team player who works well with care staff and colleagues
Open to feedback and happy to learn
Trustworthy and able to work in a residential environment
The Hours:
Monday to Thursday, with some Fridays (7.5 hours a week)
The Location:
Bristol, car parking (100% office based)
The Salary:
£27,000 pro rata
