Quilter have demand for two additional permanent Test Specialist resources to join our QIP Team.

Ideal candidates will have valid experience in testing within an Agile Framework, manual and automation experience, preferably in a .net Framework.

Must also have experience of Requirements Analysis, Test Planning, Execution and strong communication skills.

The successful candidates will join and supplement a fast paced and responsive Test Team who facilitate vendor delivered enhancements as well as undertake their own rigorous testing.

The Test Specialist provides expertise in test design and execution with the aim of removing failures in use. The role is responsible for the end-to-end test process for all assigned Change to Production IT Estates ensuring adherence to the testing strategy, quality framework and methodology.

Test Planning and Execution:

  • Analyses software requirements to write and execute comprehensive, thorough and effective test scripts and regression packs in order to verify the quality of new or enhanced software releases.
  • Develops technical documents to accurately represent the test suite. Executes tests in accordance with test frameworks and governance to drive precise and detailed testing expected outcomes.
  • Estimates test case build and execution effort to support detailed test planning for releases.
  • Reports outcomes of tests, analyses and manages defects through to closure.
  • Escalates impediments to Test and Programme Management structure.
  • Facilitates demos of the stories/functions in test for business owner sign off. Collaborates and coordinates test execution with any relevant third parties.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of the planning and execution of test.

About You
  • Testing business and technology projects through to completion, resulting in delivery of robust and high-quality applications.
  • Building Test Plans and Test Scripts.
  • Defect tracking.
  • Experience in test data management.
  • Good experience of test management tools such as JIRA working with XRay.
  • Proven software testing experience including the implementation of smoke tests, unit tests or Pester tests as well as exploratory testing/alerting.
  • Experience in working with both Agile (Primary) and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Desired experience in one or more of the following automated testing framework components: - Specflow, NUnit, RestSharp, Appium, Selenium WebDriver and LamdaTest
  • Understanding of industry best practice and trends together with their application within a business context.
