Totem Product Analysis & Design Associate Director
The Team
The TOTEM service, founded in 1997, provides the major market makers in OTC derivatives with definitive consensus market prices. More than 50 of the leading banks trading houses and other investment professionals use the TOTEM service as the key independent check of their trading book valuations.
The service encompasses the equity, interest rates, currency, commodity, credit and bond markets, providing comprehensive matrices of vanilla prices and a wide selection of exotic products.
The Impact
The Totem Product Development team consists of several Product Analysis & Design specialists located in our offices across the globe and is currently engaged in the following initiatives:
Driving the Totem Product forward by focusing on the pillars of Coverage Accuracy and Transparency leveraging expertise in financial markets.
Connecting customer‑facing teams with Development teams to improve Totem Product by delivering new features.
Utilizing data science and AI to drive new initiatives based on Totem’s unique proprietary data.
Responsibilities
Providing data analysis by combining internal and external datasets to drive new features adoption from our customers.
Interacting closely with Business Development, Product Services and IT to deliver a better product overall and participate in driving the business and identifying product opportunities.
Providing tactical solutions to answer requirements on consensus services.
Qualifications
Undergraduate or Master’s degree in a financial or quantitative discipline is essential.
Proven track record in dealing with derivatives financial instruments as either Product Control specialist, Pricing role or Risk Management in a financial institution.
Over 6 years of relevant experience.
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving skills are essential.
Data analysis skills.
Proficiency in Python desirable.
Expertise in a financial derivatives asset class a plus (preferably Interest Rates Derivatives).
Prior industry experience at reputable financial institutions or financial services firms is desirable.
Practical understanding of the basics of mathematical finance and derivatives pricing.
Ability to challenge not to apply processes in place.
