Town Planner \nLocation: Manchester\n\nPenguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their growing team in Manchester.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner to join a dynamic consultancy working across a broad and varied portfolio of projects. My client works across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, retail & leisure, and hospitality, offering the successful candidate excellent exposure to diverse and interesting developments.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Town Planner, you will play a key role in supporting and managing planning projects while acting as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the development process.\n\nYou will be responsible for providing clear and strategic planning advice, guiding clients through planning applications and development proposals, and working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPreparing and managing a range of planning applications and appeals\n\nProviding expert planning advice to clients across a variety of sectors\n\nLeading on site appraisals and planning feasibility assessments\n\nPreparing planning statements and supporting documentation\n\nLiaising with Local Planning Authorities and key project stakeholders\n\nManaging projects and maintaining strong client relationships\n\nAttending client meetings and site visits where required\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nRTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline\n\nExperience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment\n\nGood knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation\n\nStrong report writing and analytical skills\n\nExcellent communication and client-facing abilities\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a team\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\n\nHybrid working arrangements\n\nOpportunity to work on a diverse range of planning projects\n\nSupportive and collaborative team environment\n\nExcellent professional development and career progression opportunities\n\nInterested in this opportunity?
