Join the UK’s Net Zero Transport Revolution

Are you passionate about planning, sustainability, and real-world impact? My client is on a mission to decarbonise UK road transport by developing a national network of 50 clean energy hubs. Their sites will fuel the fleets of major logistics players with electric charging, hydrogen, bio-CNG and more—helping slash emissions and tackle climate change head-on.

We're looking for a detail-oriented, driven planner—at Assistant, Planner or Senior level—who’s ready to play a key role in delivering this critical infrastructure from concept to consent.

What You’ll Do:

As part of the Engineering, Delivery and Operations (EDO) team, you’ll support the delivery of planning strategy and applications for our multi-energy hubs, including:

  • Assessing planning risks and providing planning feasibility input
  • Supporting and preparing planning applications, from scoping to submission
  • Engaging with councils, stakeholders and communities
  • Managing internal and external project teams
  • Supporting design, EIA, conditions discharge and post-consent amendments

Whether you're visiting potential sites, drafting planning statements, or helping shape clean transport infrastructure, your work will be central to our mission.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in planning or development (public or private sector)
  • A degree in planning, urban design, geography, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of UK planning regulations and development processes
  • Excellent communication, research and analytical skills
  • Confidence working with stakeholders and contributing to high-quality project delivery

Desirable:

  • RTPI accreditation (or working towards it)
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in CAD, GIS or urban design

On offer:

  • £35-40k salary + up to 15% annual bonus
  • Enhanced pension and paternity leave
  • Private life, health and dental insurance
  • Hybrid working and flexible culture
  • Meaningful, sustainability-driven projects
