Are you an experienced Town Planner ready to take the next step in your career with a well-established and forward-thinking consultancy? We're working exclusively with a respected planning practice based in Hampshire that is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented planner who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment and wants to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
The Role:
As a Senior Town Planner, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality planning advice and managing complex planning applications and appeals. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the strategic direction of projects and the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a varied caseload of planning applications and development proposals
Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
Preparing planning statements, reports, and appeal documentation
Providing expert advice on planning policy and regulations
Supporting business development efforts and helping to grow client relationships
About You:
We're looking for someone who is confident, driven, and commercially minded with excellent communication skills.
You'll need to have:
A degree in Town Planning or a related field (RTPI accredited)
Full RTPI membership (or eligibility for chartered status)
A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant UK planning experience
Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, including development management
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
