Job Title: Trainee Monitoring Engineer/Surveyor

Location: Kent

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 (DOE)

Hours: Full time – Monday – Friday 9:00-17:00 (midweek and weekend overtime available)

About the role

As a Trainee Monitoring Engineer / Surveyor, you will carry out a range of monitoring tasks using advanced equipment and technologies to support rail, highways and drainage works. You’ll collect and analyse data, contribute to geotechnical monitoring and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and safety of infrastructure. This is a dynamic role with excellent opportunities for development and involvement in a wide variety of challenging, high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to learn & undertake various types monitoring sessions using a variety of specialised equipment and technology. assisting with data collection and data processing elements of all projects in the teams’ portfolio and to meet the required Company standards including health and safety. Willingness to stay away from home where required due to project requirements. Assisting with undertaking monitoring programmes on various sites UK wide which will include total station and levelling operations, setting up, and maintaining both monitoring and engineering surveys. Pro-actively take responsibility to learn survey theory and practice, new techniques, and about new instruments to embark on a career as a professional surveyor. Any other duties as required by the business. Benefits:

Requirements:

Previous experience in surveying, engineering, or monitoring. Relevant qualifications and/or experience. Experience of working to high safety standards.
