The Role: Inspect components against engineering drawings and specifications
Learn to carry out detailed inspections using complex datum points
Use a range of handheld metrology tools and advanced equipment
Measure first-off components from CNC machines
Record inspection results accurately within company systems
Raise non-conformances (PIFs) and communicate issues to team leaders
Support testing and validation of components and assemblies
Essential Requirements: Qualified to Degree/HNC/HND level in a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
Ability to read engineering drawings (basic to intermediate level)
Some experience working with tight tolerances
Experience using handheld inspection tools (e.g. verniers, gauges)
Able to follow documented instructions and processes
Good attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word)
Willingness to learn and develop within a technical environment
ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar (or working towards)
Desirable: Experience in a CNC machine shop or manufacturing environment
Exposure to quality tools (SPC, AQL, calibration, etc.)
Experience using CMM or Faro Arm equipment
Knowledge of welding or fabrication processes
