Trainee TIG Welder (Training to Orbital Welder)

The Opportunity
We are working with a growing and forward-thinking engineering business that is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee TIG Welder to develop into a fully skilled Orbital Welder. This is a permanent position with structured training, making it ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in precision welding and advanced manufacturing.

The Role
As a Trainee TIG Welder, you will begin by supporting the welding team while developing your skills in TIG welding techniques. Over time, you will receive full training and mentorship to progress into orbital welding, working on high-specification components within a controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with TIG welding tasks under supervision
• Learn and apply high-quality welding techniques and standards
• Support the preparation and setup of materials and equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Follow technical drawings and work instructions
• Progress through structured training towards orbital welding

Training & Development

• Full training provided to become a skilled Orbital Welder
• Ongoing support from experienced welders and supervisors
• Opportunity to work with advanced welding technology and processes

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in TIG Welding (essential)
• A strong interest in developing a career in welding
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Previous TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential
