Transport Planner – Astley, Manchester | Mon–Fri | £13–£18ph (temp) | £25k–£35k perm |

Careermakers Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner on behalf of our client based in Astley, Manchester. This is a temp to perm opportunity with a well-established transport company operating a bulk haulage fleet.

This role is suited to someone with previous transport planning or route planning experience within a fast-paced logistics environment.

The Role

* Planning and allocating daily loads for a bulk haulage fleet

* Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and industry standards

* Supporting drivers with briefings, scheduling and general queries

* Liaising with customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve issues

* Monitoring fleet utilisation and operational efficiency

* Working closely with workshop teams to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant

Shift Details

* Monday to Friday

* 40 hours per week

* Office based – Astley

Pay Rate (Temp Period)

* £13 – £18 per hour depending on experience

* Temp to perm opportunity

Permanent Salary

* £25,000 – £35,000 per year depending on experience

Requirements

* Previous transport planning or route planning experience (essential)

* Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance

* Excellent organisational and communication skills

* Good IT skills (Microsoft Office or similar systems)

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
