This role supports a national distribution network covering warehousing, storage, and 3PL logistics.Youll be responsible for planning routes, allocating vehicles and drivers, and ensuring deliveries run efficiently, safely, and on time. This is a key position within a growing operation, offering stability and long-term development.Key Responsibilities:Plan and manage daily transport operations for a fleet of 40 HGV vehiclesRoute planning and vehicle scheduling to maximise efficiency and service levelsAllocate drivers and vehicles based on load requirements and availabilityUse TMS (Transport Management Systems) and GPS tracking to monitor vehicle movementsCreate and issue driver manifests, delivery schedules and transport documentationTrack deliveries and provide progress updates to internal teams and customersLiaise with drivers, warehouse teams, customer service, hauliers and 3PL partnersConduct driver briefs and debriefsInput and maintain accurate transport data and operational recordsIdentify performance trends and opportunities for continuous improvementRequirements:Essential:23 years experience in a Transport Planner or Transport Coordinator roleExperience planning routes for HGV / LGV fleetsStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsConfident working in a fast-paced logistics or distribution environmentLive within commuting distance of Yeadon, LeedsHighly Desirable:Experience using MANDATA TMSSalary & Benefits:Salary: £32K - £34KMondayFriday workingAlternate Shifts | 6am-3pm / 10am-4pm1 in 3 weekends on call (+£75 supplement)28 days holidayHealthcare plan (Money towards dental/optical etc.)Company Pension SchemeFree on-site parkingOngoing training and career development opportunitiesTo Note: Should you have not heard back within 14 days, please assume that you have been unsuccessfulTLP Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
