Transport Shift Manager

What will this role achieve?

Join Our Transport Team at the Midlands Distribution Centre (Ashby-de-la-Zouch)!

We’re looking for a confident and highly responsible individual to take on a key role within our Transport team at our Midlands Distribution Centre (MDC). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-profile, fast-paced environment where your contributions will be visible and valued.

As part of the Transport Department, you’ll play a vital role in managing the movement of finished goods from all UK manufacturing and storage locations. You’ll also support the growing coordination of inbound raw materials to our manufacturing sites—reducing reliance on third-party hauliers. This is a time-critical operation where performance is measured against key metrics, making it an exciting challenge for someone who thrives on accountability and precision.

We are seeking a proactive and resilient individual to join our team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role is critical in ensuring seamless operations across our supply chain, balancing customer service excellence with efficient factory logistics.

Working Pattern:

The pladis vehicle fleet operation is 24/7 and requires regular monitoring and dynamic decision-making. You will work a combination of nights and days (06:00 – 18:00 / 18:00 – 06:00) shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, including weekends with no risk of interrupting production. Overtime will also be paid for additional shifts worked when required.

What will the interview process be?

pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process. Some processes may differ, but we will keep you updated!
