Tutor/Assessor – Level 3 Teaching Assistant (With SEND Pathway)

Start Date: January 2026

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time or Part-Time

Salary: £34,434 – £36,363 (SO1), depending on qualifications and experience

Location: Hybrid – Mix of home/class-based learning

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Tutor/Assessor to lead on the Level 3 Teaching Assistant with SEND pathway. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on learners’ futures by delivering high-quality teaching and assessment. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to Early Years and Teacher apprenticeship programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to apprenticeship cohorts.
• Assess learners’ work and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students through one-to-one and group sessions.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with awarding body standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous professional development.

What We’re Looking For:

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
• Experience teaching or supporting learners with SEND.
• Strong communication, organisational, and assessment skills.

Desirable:

• Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, or equivalent).
• Experience in apprenticeships or specialist SEND settings.
