SC Clearance required Daily rate: Circa £500 We're looking for an experienced
User Researcher
to join a multidisciplinary delivery team working within a secure government environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring user needs are clearly understood and embedded into service and product design.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver qualitative and quantitative user research across discovery, alpha, beta, and live phases
Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and research workshops
Translate research findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations
Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, developers, and policy teams
Advocate for user-centred design and evidence-based decision-making
Ensure research activities meet accessibility, ethical, and governance standards
Contribute to service assessments and design assurance activities
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience delivering user research in complex or regulated environments
Strong knowledge of GDS standards and user-centred design practices
Experience working within Agile delivery teams
Ability to communicate research insights clearly to a range of stakeholders
Experience working with sensitive data and constrained user groups
