Benefits: Starting annual salary of £36,504, dependant on experience, with bonus opportunities 28 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays Participation in a workplace pension scheme Access to a wide range of practical, recreational, and salary-sacrifice discounts Staff wellness programme Regular recognition rewards and employee engagement initiatives Manufacturer-specific training programmes and access to in-house training facilities Career progression opportunities within a well-established dealer group with over 50 years of operation Flexible working hours: 45 hours per week (7:00am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00am-2:30pm on Friday), with flexibility required and provided Duties: Assemble, fabricate, and install components in accordance with engineering and fabrication drawings Utilise power tools safely for drilling, jigged, and un-jigged assembly tasks MIG/TIG welding of fabricated parts, following engineering specifications and company standards Install insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies Conduct basic wiring of lights and fixtures on commercial vehicles Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and procedural standards Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all work areas, including workshops, vehicles, and onsite locations Unload and store deliveries appropriately Support the wider team with additional projects and tasks as directed by management Comply with health and safety regulations, maintenance routines, and quality control policies Manage workload efficiently and independently, adhering to set timescales Demonstrate excellent timekeeping and conduct, with proactive problem-solving skills Commercial Vehicle Body Builder Specification: Proven experience in vehicle body assembly, fabrication, and MIG/TIG welding Familiarity with working from engineering and fabrication drawings Toolset relevant to the commercial vehicle body building industry Valid UK driving licence with minimal points Formal qualifications in vehicle body building are advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Strong attention to detail, with a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes Effective communication skills and a positive, self-motivated attitude Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks efficiently If you possess the relevant skills and experience for the role of Commercial Vehicle Body Builder, our client encourages your application.
