As a Vehicle Paint Sprayer, you will ensure the repair of motor vehicles of all types is carried out to motor manufacturer industry standards or repair methods.
Responsibilities of a Vehicle Paint Sprayerwill include:
Observe, recognise, and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.
Ensure that vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers, or that faults have been reported and noted on the job card.
Report all faults and defects noticed whilst working on vehicles.
Indent for replacement parts and record usage.
Vehicle Paint Technician responsibilities also include paint repair, accurately using paint mixing schemes, computerized scales, spray booths, and drying lamps.
Application of topcoat to the manufacturers specification.
Skills and experience required as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer:
Previous experience in Bodyshop repairs
Motor manufacturer qualifications and experience
NVQ Level 3 in Paint & Bodywork
Knowledge of the latest Waterborne Technology
Aware of composite and aluminium repair
Bonding, sealer, and filler repair skills
Full UK Driving licence
Team player who uses initiative
Flexibility and a can-do attitude
Cultural and organisational insight and takes responsibility for own actions
