An exciting opportunity has become available for an Automotive Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic within a forward-thinking Dealership, located in Preston.

Our Automotive Client has a need for a Vehicle Technician who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary up to £40,000 per annum for IMI Level 4 qualified technicians with an OTE of £47,200.
  • Level 3 Technicians earn around £35,000 per year.
  • Uncapped bonuses, potentially earning approximately £600/month at 100% achievement.
  • Holiday entitlement of 22 days plus bank holidays, totallingaround 30 days annually, which exceeds typical industry standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Conducting Servicing & Repairs to a variety of Vehicles (including LCVs/HGVs & Cars)
  • Executing high voltage Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Repair and Maintenance tasks.
  • Adhering to both Manufacturer & Health & Safety Guidelines
  • Performing Diagnostic Testing to identify Vehicle Faults.
  • MOT Testing
  • Documenting information about Servicing & Repairing ensuring it meets company policies.
Requirements:
  • IMI Level 4 Qualification in Light Commercial Vehicles, or equivalent.
  • Dedicated and committed approach.
  • Prior working experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally within a Dealership environment.
  • Your job as a Vehicle Technician will be your passion and you will enjoy all aspects of your work.
  • You should have your own tools.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
The salary of this role is up to £40,000 basic with OTE of £47,200.
Hours of work in this Vehicle Technician role are Monday to Friday (08:00:16:30), with potential Saturday in 2026, once fully staffed.
