VHMC & HMC CNC Programmer, Setter, Operator

Job Description

Total Staff Services are recruiting a VHMC & HMC CNC Milling, Programmer,Setter,Operator for our client based in Liverpool.

The role will involve working from precision drawings to create programs, selecting tooling, proving and finish machining many components from raw bar stock, fabrications, profiles, castings, and forgings of various grades of steel, stainless steel, alloy steels, brass, bronzes and other non-ferritic materials using the latest CNC Vertical & Horizontal Machining centres equipped with 4th Axis & Renishaw probing. Programming can be done offline via One CNC - XR8 3D milling software or on the machine using manual guide software or via standard ISO keyboard input.

Essential: -

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent
  • Proficient in programming, setting and operating CNC Lathes with Fanuc Controls
  • Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems
  • Experience machining exotic metals e.g super duplex, duplex, 718, x 750, Hastelloy, Monel
  • Previous experience in a similar role - 2 years minimum
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Effective communication with peers and management
  • Attention to details

Preferred Experience: -

  • Doosan Vertical Machining Centres (750-2200mm Beds)
  • Kafo H630 (Twin pallet Horizontal Machining Centre) Fanuc Controls
  • Manual Guide Programming Software Package
  • 4th axis programming/machining
  • Production of valve and pump components
  • Serving the Nuclear, Defence, Oil, Gas, Fluid and power generation sectors
  • Proficient in Office 365 and ERP Systems

Salary - £3500-£37500 - potential earnings £45-48K

39hrs per week

Single days Mon-Thurs 0730-1630 & Friday 0730-1230
