Warehouse Main Tasks: To operate the forklift truck safely to store, load and unload raw materials, finished goods and other items in the warehouse. To charge the forklift battery when required and to avoid it running completely out of charge. To apply wrapping and strapping as appropriate to finished goods pallets for shipping purposes. To perform the routine daily / weekly maintenance checks for the forklift truck and warehouse duties. To perform and record the periodic cleaning of the warehouse area in line with cleaning specifications. To clearly identify all goods stored in the warehouse, including components, packaging and finished goods. To store goods in the warehouse in a safe and organised manner such that stock can be accessed and rotated in a FIFO system. To ensure goods are palletised appropriately and protected from contamination from the surrounding environment and other products. To report any quality issues observed with incoming or existing stock, or materials in the production area, and to report this to the Production Manager or Packing Supervisor To report any health & safety issues observed in the warehouse or elsewhere.
