Solution 47 Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a high-growth, operationally driven business seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead multi-site warehousing, despatch, and logistics operations.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for the end-to-end operational engine — ensuring every order is delivered accurately, on time, and at the lowest sustainable cost.
You will take full ownership of performance across throughput, labour efficiency, cost control, space utilisation, and delivery — while driving continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all warehouse and despatch operations across multiple sites
Take full ownership of pick, pack, goods-in, replenishment, and shipping performance
Ensure stock accuracy and effective pick-face management at all times
Develop and manage capacity planning models (labour, volume, space, bottlenecks)
Drive improvements in throughput, accuracy, and cost per pick
Manage all courier and transport operations, including cost and service performance
Optimise warehouse layout, slotting, and operational flow
Deliver data-led improvement projects, including automation and process redesign
Present commercially sound business cases for operational investment
Performance Focus
You will be measured across four core areas:

Leadership & Culture
Lead and develop Team Leaders to build a high-performance, accountable culture
Drive a data-led, results-focused environment
Work cross-functionally to align demand, supply, and operational execution
Stay close to the operation while maintaining a strategic leadership perspective
Health & Safety
Take full ownership of warehouse and transport safety
Ensure compliance with all regulations, procedures, and training requirements
Promote a proactive, behaviour-led safety culture
Proven experience managing multi-site warehouse and logistics operations
Strong understanding of warehouse flow, layout, and optimisation
Experience managing couriers, transport, and delivery performance
Strong ERP systems experience (any major system)
Deep understanding of:
Labour productivity
Cost control
Capacity planning
Track record of delivering measurable operational improvements
Experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement
Strong people leadership at management level
Desirable Experience
Automation, WMS, or material handling implementation
Building business cases for investment or change
Experience operating in a scaling or high-growth environment
