Primary responsibilities Fabricate, assemble, and weld sheet metal and structural components from engineering drawings Perform high-quality MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding Operate workshop machinery and hand tools to measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials Interpret technical drawings and work independently on fabrication tasks Conduct finishing processes such as grinding, polishing, and dressing welds Ensure all work meets required specifications and quality standards Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
Qualifications and Skills Must hold a Time-served apprenticeship or Qualifications in Fabrication & Welding Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings Expert knowledge of MIG/TIG welding processes Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and collaboratively Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive attitude Experience with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel (desirable)
