Read on to fully understand what this job requires in terms of skills and experience If you are a good match, make an application. - Bath, BA2 7AYThe Wessex Inspiration Network (WIN) is one of the UniConnect consortia being funded by the Office for Students (OfS) to increase progression of under-represented students to higher education.The focus is in areas where fewer than average numbers of qualified young people continue to further study.
The WIN works across Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and Wiltshire and is led by the University of Bath, but has members from across HE, FE, schools and local employers.The WIN Engagement Officer leads the partnership's liaison with schools and colleges to plan, coordinate and deliver outreach activity, ensuring that events are effectively designed, well communicated and responsive to the needs of the institutions we support.
This includes maintaining strong working relationships with universities, schools, colleges and external partners, helping them to understand the full range of opportunities available and supporting those opportunities through to delivery.About youThe successful candidate will be a personable, driven, and passionate person who can create and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels across different types of organisations.You willunderstand the UK education system and as a self-starter you'll be keen to make a difference in the local education sector.have a can-do attitude and be resilient and tenacious when developing able to see the bigger picture across the region and be able to understand how different organisations can 'fit' into the solutions for educational challenges across the region.
seek to understand and share activities already on offer in the region, and identify areas of need.create relationships with schools, organisations, local authorities, charities and HE and FE providers across the region.create spaces (small meetings, or conference style events) where parties can come together to identify the educational challenges in the region and then begin to facilitate solutions (ensuring the right people are connected, or working with partners).
Further informationThis is a fixed-term role until 30 October 2026, with the potential for extension based on future funding from the Office for Students.
