Year 5 Teacher - Maternity Cover (Summer Term)

Duration: Summer Term (Maternity Cover) - with the view to extension

Pay: MPS 3 £226- MPS 6 £268 - Paid PAYE only.

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a well-established 3-form entry primary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit an experienced Year 5 teacher for a maternity cover role starting after Easter and continuing for the remainder of the summer term.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and high-performing team at a crucial point in the academic year, helping pupils transition smoothly into Year 6.

The Role

Full class teaching responsibility for a settled and well-behaved Year 5 class

Deliver engaging lessons that support strong end-of-year progress

Prepare pupils academically and emotionally for their move into Year 6

Work collaboratively with parallel teachers and leadership team

About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

Confident delivering the curriculum and maintaining high expectations

A nurturing and consistent approach to support pupil wellbeing and progress

ECTs will not be considered for this role
