About the Role
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons across the curriculum
* Support pupils in developing strong literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject skills
* Prepare pupils effectively for upper KS2 expectations and statutory assessments
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure all children reach their potential
* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Experience teaching upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
* Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
* High expectations for pupil progress and behaviour
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development
* A collaborative and proactive team player
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
