is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic
Year 6 Teacher with Head of Maths responsibility
to join the school from
September 2026 . This position is offered as
maternity cover
and presents an exciting opportunity for an
Upper Key Stage 2 teacher
looking to take on a
leadership role
within a warm and supportive school community.

This is a
unique opportunity
as the successful candidate will be teaching the
school's first ever Year 6 cohort
. The role will involve working closely with senior leadership to design
schemes of work, prepare pupils for 11+ examinations and interviews
, and develop an
engaging enrichment programme
following the exams.
Alongside teaching Year 6, the successful candidate will take responsibility for
leading Maths across the school
, including:
Leading and developing
Mathematics teaching and learning
Overseeing the
Maths curriculum, schemes of work and resources
Monitoring and analysing
assessment and attainment data
Supporting colleagues with
effective Maths teaching strategies
Promoting a
love of Maths
through competitions, challenges and enrichment opportunities
The school is particularly interested in candidates who:
Have
Upper KS2 teaching experience
Demonstrate a
strong track record of excellent classroom teaching
Ideally have
independent school experience
Have experience
preparing pupils for 11+ examinations
Are enthusiastic about
leading and developing Maths across a school
