Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with ASD in a 2-form entry mainstream primary school in West Ealing. The role is full-time, starting from half term, and offers the chance to make a real difference to a child's learning and development within a supportive school environment.

The Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide dedicated support to a pupil with ASD throughout the school day
Work closely with the class teacher to implement personalised learning strategies
Assist with classroom tasks, small group activities, and transitions
Support social and emotional development, helping the pupil engage with peers
Follow behaviour plans, visual schedules, and IEP targets
Contribute to observations, progress tracking, and handoversYou will be a key member of the pupil's support team, ensuring continuity and consistency in their learning experience.

Requirements

The school is looking for a candidate who:

Has previous experience working with children with ASD in a school setting
Is confident working 1:1 in mainstream classrooms
Has strong behaviour management skills and patience
Can work collaboratively with teachers, TAs, and parents
Is reliable, professional, and adaptable
Holds relevant qualifications in SEN support or teaching assistance (Level 3 preferred but not essential)This role is suitable for both experienced SEN TAs and those looking to specialise in supporting children with ASD.
