Job Title: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 2)Location: Bransgore - BH23Contract Type: Part Time - 8:30am - 1:15pmStart Date: ASAP
About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Bransgore. This role involves working closely alongside a Year 2 class teacher to provide tailored support for pupils who require additional assistance with their learning and development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
Work collaboratively with the Year 2 teacher to plan and adapt learning activities
Support children with their academic, social, and emotional development
Implement strategies outlined in individual education plans (IEPs)
Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A good understanding of primary education, particularly Key Stage 1
A commitment to inclusion and supporting diverse learning needs
