1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Wandsworth, South West London Start Date: February 2026 Pay: £95 - £115 per day

Veritas Education is excited to be partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth to recruit a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a February 2026 start.

This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is renowned for its nurturing ethos and strong commitment to pupils' academic achievement, emotional wellbeing, and personal development. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a student, providing tailored support to help them engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and develop positive relationships within the classroom.

This role is ideal for a patient, proactive, and empathetic individual who is passionate about supporting children, particularly those with additional needs, within a supportive primary school environment.

The Ideal 1:1 Teaching Assistant Will Have:

Proven experience supporting children, particularly in a 1:1 or small-group capacity - essential

Knowledge of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour

A calm, caring, and resilient approach when working with students with additional needs

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
