We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a non-verbal Year 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Position Details

Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Non-Verbal ASD Support
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Status: Full-Time
Duration: Full academic year (Sept 2026 - July 2027)
Pay: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 support to a non-verbal Year 2 pupil with ASD
Implement communication strategies to support engagement and learning
Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher
Foster positive relationships with the pupil, parents, and staff

Requirements

Proactive and compassionate approach to supporting SEN pupils
Strong communication skills and ability to adapt learning strategies
Commitment to a full-time, long-term role (Mon-Fri)
