1:1 Teaching Assistant- SEMH

Leader Education are currently recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work within a SEMH school based in Cramlington, Northumberland. This role involves supporting secondary-aged students on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning and develop both academically and emotionally within a supportive school environment.
The working hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:30 and Friday 8:30-4:00
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to secondary-aged students with SEMH needs Assist students in engaging with classroom activities and learning Support the development of positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement individual support strategies Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within education or support roles Experience supporting individuals with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is desirable A patient, resilient, and supportive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one What Leader Education Offers:
