1:1 Teaching Assistant - Stafford - Start Date: As soon as possible We are seeking a committed and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant who is ready to jump into the classroom supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis ensuring their needs are met by fostering their social-emotional development, building confidence, all while maintaining a supportive and welcoming environment. This opportunity is the perfect fit for a 1:1 teaching assistant who desires a rewarding role within the education sector, supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis. You will play a vital role in supporting a child throughout their time within mainstream school; you must be prepared to build a trusting relationship with the child quickly in order to provide individualised support to the pupil. You will be working within a supportive primary school in the heart of Stafford, through a reputable and supportive supply agency. The role includes: * Providing 1:1 support for a student with SEND, ensuring that individual needs are met by fostering their social development, helping to build independence, building confidence, whilst maintaining a supportive environment for the pupil to grow and develop. * To collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver targeted interventions. * Closely monitor pupil's progress, celebrate achievements and work on areas for improvement. * Comfortable communicating with SENDCo, parents and external professionals. * Experience working with SEND students in a school environment is desirable. We are looking for someone who: * Can support an individual pupil/pupils with their learning, personal care and behaviour in line with an education plan. * Able to implement learning activities, adapt resources and provide valuable 1:1 support during lesson time. * Can closely monitor progress; providing feedback to teachers, parents, SENDCo and external agencies. * Able to foster and maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment. * Available to start ASAP. * Fully registered to work for Academics. * Holds or willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS. * Willing to commute to Stafford daily.
