Unique Snacks is a 104-year-old 6th family-owned business, located across from the Fairgrounds Farmers Market, that is best known for their Splits, Shells and Sourdough ring pretzels. In 2016 they were named “Snack Producer of the Year” by Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery.

Unique Snacks is hiring for 2nd Shift Production Supervisor.

This role is located in Reading, PA and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $24.00- $33.00/hr. Raises are offered four times a year!

Shift: 2nd - 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Overtime and weekend hours will be necessary during extended production runs.

Physical Demands:

Standing, bending, stooping for 8-hour shifts. Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly. Ability to lift, twist, bend, stand, sit, kneel. Manual dexterity needed to perform activities

What are we looking for?

High School Diploma/ GED is required 3+ years experience in a food manufacturing environment is required Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Attention to Detail Problem-solving skills. Reliable transportation to and from work. Knowledge of SQF, FSMA, HACCP is

ALL Candidates must be able to perform the following tasks:

Maintain accurate production records during shift including but not limited to, bag weights, product completion times, waste, etc. Clean/sanitize plant and production equipment, including packaging machines, floors, ovens, belts, etc. Observe and comply with all safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SQF (Safe Quality Food), and company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure). Must wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for job duty. Report any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management. May be requested to temporarily cover work assignments according to business/production demands. Able to read, write and understand English.
