7.5 Tonne Lorry Driver
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and professional 7.5-tonne lorry driver to join our team. The role involves the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers and depots while delivering an exceptional standard of customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all deliveries are completed on time, maintaining vehicle safety, and operating in full compliance with road transport legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in full accordance with UK road traffic laws
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects or maintenance requirements
Load and unload goods, ensuring all items are secured correctly for transit
Accurately complete all delivery documentation, including PODs, delivery notes, and driver logs
Provide a courteous and professional service at all customer delivery points
Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures at all times
Maintain the vehicle in a clean, tidy, and roadworthy condition
On return to the yard in the evening, assist with loading your vehicle and support general yard duties where required
Requirements
Valid UK driving licence with C1 entitlement
Current Driver CPC qualification
Digital tachograph card
Previous experience driving 7.5-tonne vehicles (preferred)
Sound knowledge of road transport regulations and working time rules
Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties when necessary
Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
Strong communication skills
Desirable Skills
Experience in multi-drop deliveries
Familiarity with local and regional routes
Job
Days :- Monday - Friday
Hours :- 07.30am - 16.30
Role :- Permanent
