Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonneDelivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury.You will be delivering customers orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre loaded each morning.The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, the days will be on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning, and afternoon.This is a fantastic opportunity for you to secure a job with a well-established, reputable company, they will invest in you, and in return they are looking for hardworking, reliable and honest people to join their team.A DBS check will be required for this role.The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:Driving a 7.5 ton vehicle on a daily basisWorking with a drivers mateDelivering customers orders to their homes and officesLifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving roleEnsuring the right products get to the right places at the right timeFollowing a delivery route, which is pre planned for youPre calling customers before arrivalFilling in paperwork as and when requiredRemoving all packaging from each deliveryThe ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:Experience within a similar role7.5 ton licence or aboveCPC and TacoThe ability to handle heavy goodsA clean DBSThe hours of work for the 7.7 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off, the working days cover any 5 over Monday Sunday, you must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am 6.15pm.The salary for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driverwill be £13.60 per hour, on a 12-week temp to perm basis.
