Air Conditioning Installation Engineer\n Location: North East (Nationwide Travel Required)\n Salary: Up to £43,000 + Overtime + Company Benefits\n\nA leading UK building services contractor is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled AC professional who enjoys varied installation work, nationwide travel, and delivering high-quality projects across commercial and critical environments.\n\nKey Responsibilities \nInstallation & Commissioning\n\nInstall a range of AC and refrigeration systems including split systems, VRV/VRF, AHUs, chillers, and close control systems.\n\nCarry out full commissioning, testing, and project handover procedures.\n\nRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.\n\nOversee and coordinate sub-contractor activity where required.\nCompliance & Safety\n\nWork in line with F-Gas regulations and relevant industry standards.\n\nMaintain clear, accurate installation and commissioning documentation.\n\nFollow site safety protocols, RAMS, and company procedures.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience \nEssential\n\nF-Gas Category 1 (2079) certification\n\nStrong proven background in AC installation\n\nFull UK Driving Licence\nDesirable\n\nExperience working within critical environments (e.g. data centres)\n\nUnderstanding of BMS/controls\n\nIPAF / PASMA certifications\n\nSafe isolation competency\nKey Competencies\n\nStrong problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a wider team\n\nExcellent customer-facing and communication skills\n\nHigh attention to detail and quality of workmanship\n\nEffective time management and ability to prioritise workloads\nPackage & Benefits\n\nBasic salary up to £43,000 (depending on experience) + significant overtime earnings\n\nCompany van, fuel card, tools, and uniform provided\n\nOngoing training and professional development opportunities\n\n25 days holiday plus bank holidaysCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, , , /beliefs, or .
