Key Responsibilities
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Execute scheduled maintenance across a variety of commercial HVAC assets, including VRVs, VRFs, split systems, AHUs, and chillers.
Reactive Repairs & Diagnostics: Respond to emergency call-outs to troubleshoot, fault-find, and repair system failures to minimize client downtime.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work meets F-Gas regulations and health and safety standards; maintain accurate digital logs of refrigerant usage and recovery.
Mobile Portfolio Management: Manage a busy call sheet across multiple sites within the M25, prioritizing tasks based on SLA urgency and geographic proximity.
Client Relations: Act as the primary technical point of contact on-site, providing clear updates to building managers and FM helpdesks regarding repair status and parts required.
Small Works & Installs: Assist with minor installations, system upgrades, and commissioning as required by the contract.
Technical Requirements & Qualifications
F-Gas Category 1 (City & Guilds 2079): Essential for handling refrigerants.
NVQ Level 2/3: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent time-served experience).
Multi-Skilled Capability: A working knowledge of basic electrical tasks (L8 awareness or 18th Edition is a significant plus).
Full UK Driving License: Must be comfortable navigating London and the Home Counties; a clean license is .
Personal Attributes
Autonomy: Ability to work independently without constant on-site supervision.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency using CAFM systems (like BigChange, Planon, or Verisae) on mobile tablets for reporting.
Resilience: Comfortable with the logistical challenges of "inside the M25" travel and participating in an on-call 1-in-X standby rotation.
