The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and accurate operation of the hotels finance function. Working closely with the Finance team, you will assist across a broad range of accounting and administrative activities, ensuring financial records are maintained with precision, integrity, and care.
This is a role for someone who values accuracy, thrives on organisation, and understands that excellence lives in the detail.
Responsibilities
Accurately record financial transactions and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation
Process supplier invoices, employee expenses, and payment runs in line with company controls
Reconcile supplier statements and credit card transactions, resolving discrepancies promptly
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Assist with accounts receivable, issuing invoices and following up outstanding balances
Prepare and post commissions for travel agents and banqueting partners
Support audits by providing clear, well-organised documentation
Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets
Provide administrative support to the finance team and assist with ad hoc projects as require
Who You Are Naturally detail-oriented, methodical, and organised
Confident working with numbers, systems, and financial data
Experienced in an accounts or finance role, ideally within luxury hospitality or a service-led environment
Comfortable using MS Excel and finance systems
A collaborative team player who values trust, discretion, and professionalism
