Accounts Assistant – Study Support Nottingham (Office-Based) £25,000 – £28,000 Full Study Support

We are recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their finance career who is currently studying AAT (or looking to start) and eager to gain practical experience in a dynamic, stock-focused environment. Full study support is provided for the right candidate.

The Role Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities, including: Managing the Purchase Ledger – processing supplier invoices, statement reconciliations, and payment runsRaising and processing Sales InvoicesSupporting with stock reporting and stock reconciliations within a manufacturing environmentAssisting with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entriesSupporting with balance sheet reconciliationsBank reconciliationsMaintaining accurate financial records using Sage Assisting with ad hoc reporting and general finance administrationThis role will give you valuable exposure to stock accounting and balance sheet work, making it ideal for someone looking to develop strong technical accounting skills early in their career.

About You This opportunity would suit someone who: Is currently studying AAT or committed to starting their AAT qualificationHas experience in a finance-based role such as Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Finance Administrator, or Accounts AssistantHas a solid understanding of basic accounting principlesIs confident using Excel and has experience with accounting software (experience with Sage is highly desirable)Has strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracyCan manage deadlines effectively while balancing work and studyIs proactive, organised, and eager to develop professionallyExperience within a manufacturing environment or working with stock would be advantageous but not essential.
